My wife and I became interested in the German Shepherd breed some time ago. We researched the breed extensively and decided we wanted to go with the West German Shepherd lines. Our goal was to select the best possible dogs for breeding. We have selected only from the bloodlines with the best health, temperaments, and show quality dogs available. We then built a personal kennel, with indoor and outdoor runs which would provide our dogs with excellent living conditions. My wife has been a Police Officer for several years as well as myself. I retired as a Director of Public Safety a few years ago and now run a Police Academy at our local Community College.
We built a new customized personal kennel in 2005 at which time we added two large exercise runs so our dogs have plenty of room to run daily. The kennel has inside runs with a grooming and training area.
Since beginning our kennel we have included imported European working lines. Due to our relationship and interest with law enforcement we strive to provide top quality dogs for police work. These working lines are specifically bread to produce high drive, tracking, protection, and scent working dogs.
Our Mission
When we got into raising GSD the goal was to present sound temperament and healthy puppies so others could enjoy the security and companionship these dogs provide. We felt it was important that our dogs would provide safety to those individuals that needed extra security in their lives. There is no better feeling of security if you are home, out jogging, riding, or walking then to have a true German Shepherd dog at your side. We are specializing in providing these types of dogs to other German Shepherd enthusiasts. We don't feel the need to provide aggressive dogs but only those that will provide protection naturally. We breed only with dogs that are proven and have bloodlines that provide sound temperments and have extensive pedigree's. We do not believe in the puppy mills, or people that do not properly care for their dogs. We are NOT a commercial kennel. All dogs on our grounds are personally owned and cared for by us.
Socialization
My Wife and I take special care of the puppies. Puppies acquire personality traits during the first months of life. These traits form making up their adult character. With help from our son, his friends and our granddaughter they help us with positive interactions between puppies and children. Our puppies are also socialized with other dogs like our Golden Encores Amazing Grace.
